tour

Travel opens your heart, broadens your mind and fills your life with stories to tell."

Travelling is the activity of journeying from one place to another, especially to places far from home.Travelling has no purpose. You travel because there is something out there that is worth seeing yourself. There are people whose life you can't even imagine, unless you see and meet them.People love to travel for many reasons. Some people travel because they like to challenge themselves. Some people travel to learn different cultures , life of people who live in different places. Some people travel to relax and escape from the city while others travel for adventure.Camp Springwood". It is located at Kurintar, Dhading. The Trishuli river flows near the camp. We all were tired by the long journey but we were even more surprised to see the beautiful view of the camp. Then staffs of that camp told us the rules of the camp. They told us that three girls were to sleep inside a tent. There were 7 tents for girls. We slept in the 3rd tent. My tent partners were Aayusha and Samikshya. After getting refreshed we ate our lunch. Then we went across the Trishuli river using the jholunge  bridge. It was fun but it was actually quite frightening for me because all the boys were rocking the bridge. After 15-20 minutes we returned back from the jholunge

MY LOVELY MOTHER

My mother, whose name is Purnima lama was born in the okhaldunga in shawan 24th and hence is now close to fourty five. She lives a quiet life in the kubade ( out of country).
She raised one child  ..
She is a very simple woman without any education, but she succeeded in raising all of her children in good health. It always pleases me to think that, in its own way, her Iife represents a victorious one.
Her Iife has by no means been entirely happy, at least in her early years. My father tenzing lama, who is in okaldhunga.  I am certain it must have required enormous patience on my mother's part to have stuck with him until the end of his life.
When I was a child our home was at Okhaldhunga  ,milan chok. My mother did her share of the work growing and gathering nori--laboring in a way that it would be difficult for an ordinary city housewife of today to imagine. Even now I can picture her, a little woman, in the dead of winter getting up before the dawn and working away until late in the evening, not even stopping to rest when she had caught a cold.
As far as the education of her children was concerned, she didn't seem to have any special ambitions. I never remember her saying a single word that would incite us to dream of success in the future or make us feel that the acquiring of degrees and formal education was an important or desirable thing.
For all her lack of pretension, I do recall her cautioning us again and again never to tell lies or do anything to cause trouble to other people. I am grateful to her that she did, for once I got out into the world I realized that these after all were the most important things for us to have learned.
A woman who never put on airs of any kind, her whole happiness lay in seeing her children grow up in good health, and she was willing to do any amount of work to achieve that goal. That's the kind of mother she was; I can't imagine any other kind that I would rather have.
During those years of nightmare and tragedy during the Pacific War, our family suffered the same as everyone else. My mother, true to the spirit demanded of the mothers of a nation at war, never shed a single tear. She sent each of her sons off to foreign lands with a smile on her face. I wonder, though, what was in her heart at that time.
One thing in particular I admired about my mother was the fact that in spite of the large number of children she had to cope with, she was always completely fair in her treatment of them. In everything, from the dividing up of food to the settling of quarrels, she showed fairness and impartiality. Intervening in the numerous fights that arose among us children, she would always take care to determine just who was in the right and who wasn't, and would settle the matter in a way that left everyone satisfied. She was in fact a highly skilled judge and arbitrator. Since I was the weakest and most sickly among all the boys, I naturally caused her the most care and worry. After the war, when I was going to school at night, she would always wait up for me no matter how late I came home. Then she would heat up a bowl of noodles for me saying, "I'll bet you had a hard day!" In that one sentence which she would repeat over and over, I could sense the boundless tenderness of a mother's love.
No matter how old I get, she still treats me like a child.

Happy father day

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic countries of Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 (Saint Joseph's Day) since the Middle Ages. This celebration was brought by the Spanish and Portuguese to Latin America, where March 19 is often still used for it, though many countries in Europe and the Americas have adopted the U.S. date, which is the third Sunday of June. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March, April and June according to the home nation's customs. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Mother's DaySiblings Day and Grandparents' Day.

Experience of police council

We got to know about many things regarded with the crime investigation as well. We got to know that there is a vast difference between a criminal and a suspect. We were taught about the things that we should do after we see any kind of crime. We were even provide by an emergency call no. so that we can contact the police before or after any crime takes place. Not only this much we got many information regarding the process of crime investigation as well. Even we got many information regarding cyber crimes as well. We must not spend too much time in electronic gadgets. We should remain alert while using the internet. We have keep in mind how much privately we chat online there is always one sever who receives the messages as well. So, we have to be careful while chatting. Even many criminals are using the internet as well we have to be careful from such criminals as well. We mustn’t accept the friend request of any stranger. We shouldn’t believe on any online opportunity until and unless we are totally known about it. Even we shouldn’t share password to anyone not even the one you trust most.
This program held in our school was really a great educational program. I would like to thank our school administrator for  providing grade 10 with sch an opportunity to interact with a police officer.

AANDHIKO MANURAM NITRYA

  •       Aandhiko manuram nitrya

Our school (Jagat Mandir) also gave us a goloden opportunity to watch drama which is based on teenagers life. Students of grade 8,9 and 10 along with 5 teachers were taken as audience. We were taken at Battisputali on 9th May, 2019. The name of our drama was "Aandhiko Manoram Nritya".

This drama showed how the teenagers are growing up with their friends in a bad company which may lead to wrong path.It also shows that students are growing up involving in bad activities along with their friends. This drama was literally related to all of the teenagers. They feel the pressure of studies and they started to do nonsense activites like smoking, taking drugs and falling in love. Nowadays, Yes all the teenagers as well as us we are involved in the wrong activities like falling in love. smoking. using more electronic gadgets and all. This drama shows us that we should not be engaged in this all in this much small age if we will be our future will be dark than being bright. This was really a motivational drama for all the teenagers. i too realized that we should not do all the things in the name of fun and joy with our friends.sometime we need to avoid them too. From this drama we can learn many things like we should not do unnecessary things . we can learn if we do wrong things in school and teachers told our activities in class to our family it will come bad image in our family.

champa devi hiking

                                                     HIKING

Hiking is an outdoor activity which consists of walking  in natural environment.
In this blog , I am going to share my hiking experience and I am glad to write about it.

Every year our school takes the students to hiking , excursion , picnic , tour , etc.
This year we (students of grade 7) went to hiking with our teachers on 29 of Mangsir (2018/12/15). Our destination was Champpa Devi. There were 4 teachers with us on our hiking. Not all the students were present on the day  of hiking. We left our school at about 8:30 a.m. We travelled by bus for about 1 hour. After we reached the place we started to walk.At first there were some stairs and we climbed it.We clicked photos. At first I walked with sagar, bibek, Bijay sir , Bikram sir. We were actually at last . And many of my friends where in the front with Murari sir and Binita mam. As we were at last we walked very slowly , while we were walking we sometimes stopped to click photos. There in the way was a resort named"HATTIBAN RESORT". There was going on a programme called "WILDERNESS GET-A-WAY 2018" My friends who were in front with Murari sir went to see the view but we ,who were at last didn't got the chance to look at that beautiful view but , we also saw that scenery but not from the top.The view was spectacular from there. After walking for a long time , we stopped to have some tiffin. We clicked many photos because we will have a photography competition . After we finished eating tiffin we walked for sometime and we reached a place where we kept our bags. Then we walked to the next hill. But we didn't go to the top because it would take hours to reach the top. So we returned to the place where we had left our bags. Walked for a long time , then we had to jump off a wall , while jumping I had a little scratch on my hand . Then we again had tiffin. After tiffin we went to a temple. Then walked down and there the bus was waiting for us. We travelled back to our school and reached at about 3:45 p.m.

It was fun to go on this hike though the roads on the hill were slippery , difficult but I had a great times with my classmates and teachere.

TEEJ

Teej and Rishi Panchami

What is Teej

Teej is a festival celebrated by Nepali women, for the long life of her husband and long and firm relationship between them until the death this life and all the lives to come. Teej is observed for marital happiness, well-being of spouse and children and purification of own body and soul. Teej is  the most famous festival among Nepali women.

The folk music and dances add more flavor to traditional values of Teej. It is fascinating to see women, in “Red” dancing and singing on the street, going to temple in holy and fasting mood. Teej is also called Hari Talika Teej. This festival is celebrated by Nepali Hindu women all across the world.

Teej is a small red insect that comes out of the soil during the rainy season. It is said Teej got its name from the same red insect. That is why Teej is celebrated in red.

When is Teej

Teej is celebrated on 3rd day of Bhadra Sukala Paksha (according to Nepali lunar calendar). It generally falls in late August or early September

Teej is traditionally dedicated to the Goddess Parvati,   remembering her union with Lord Shiva. It is a three-day-long celebration that combines splendid feasts as well as rigid fasting.

Teej also welcomes and celebrates arrival of monsoon after a season of summer heat.

In 2072, Teej is on Sept 16, 2015. That is Bhadra 30, 2072.

How do we celebrate Teej

The eve (first day of Teej) is called Dar Khane Din. On this day all the family members especially the women, both married and unmarried gather at one place, in their finest outfits of red (called Saubhagya) and start dancing and singing devotional songs mixed with Nepali folk and Dohori songs.

This evening the grand feast takes place. The grand feast is called “Dar”. The fun often goes on till midnight, after midnight the 24-hour fasting starts.

What is Dar - दर

Women who go in fasting the very next day eat a very big feast...."daro khana" (दर्हो खाना) that means a heavy food in Nepali....it is said daro khane became dar. Whatever, the meaning is, they go for big feast that evening with deserts, mithainepali foods like sel, puri, fruits and non vegitarian foodslike mottons and chicken by some communities.

The second day

Second day is the main day of Teej (the fasting day). Some women take it very rigid, they even live without a piece of food and drops of water while some others take liquid and fruit. On this day, they happily dress in red, married women wear their lagan ko pote, nathhi, other jewelries and chadke tilahari ( jewelries are optional but chadke tilahari, laganko pote and natthi is said to be most important) and visit a nearby Lord Shiva’s temple singing and dancing all the way.

Most of devotees in Kathmandu go to Pashupatinath Temple. At the Shiva temple, women worship the Shiva lingam, the symbol of the lord Shiva, offering flowers, sweets and coins. The main puja (religious ceremony) takes place with offerings of flowers, fruits, etc., made to Shiva and Pārbati, pleading them to grant their blessing upon the husband and family. The most important part of the pooja is mostly done in the evening burning the oil lamp (108 sute batti in a diyo) which should be burning throughout the night. It is a tradition of giving the diyo of teej by her mother in law to the married woman.

Third day morning

Women get up early in the dawn and get cleaned and do the puja once again to the diyo and goddess Parvati. The most important part of this puja is a banana and holy basil (Tulsi patta) leaf. Only after this puja, women take solid food. This third day of Teej is Ganesh Chaturthati. Women eat Karkalo ko Tarkari with chokho (pure) food made with pure ghee.

Rishi Panchami

The fourth day of the festival

After the completion of the previous day's pooja, women pay homage to various deities and bathe with red mud found on the roots of the sacred Datiwan bush, along with its leaves. This act of purification is the final ritual of Teej, after which women are considered forgiven from all their sins. The recent years have witnessed an adjustment in the rituals, especially regarding the strictness, but its spirit remains the same.

The actual date of inception of Teej is not known. However, it is celebrated by the women of Nepal and some part of India with lots of joy and enthusiasm. Most married women rich or poor observe this festival with fun.

Eating delicious food, popularly called dar, on the eve of Teej, and singing and dancing on the main day are the main features of this festival. On this particular day, the streets of Kathmandu turn into a sea of red with women dressed in red Sarees and Dhoties making their way to Shiva shrines, especially to the Pashupatinath Temple.

Celebration

On Teej, the devotees do not eat and drink the whole day. They first offer worship to Lord Shiva and spend the rest of the day singing and dancing in the temple premises. Singing Teej songs like "Teej ko rahar aayo bari lai". Indeed, women are seen mostly in holy sites on this day. Men are not allowed to enter the most of Shiva Temples on this day.

Outside Kathmandu valley too, women gather in public places like roads and markets and enjoy the festival by singing and dancing.

Though the women fast throughout the day - refusing to take even a drop of water - Teej brings smiles on the faces of women in the cities and villages.

It is a rare opportunity for many married women in Nepali village to go to their mother’s home due to busy schedules in village farm works. The parents invite their daughters or send someone to bring their daughters to their home a day or two before the festival. There they contribute of the ritual food called dar before going on a fast on Teej. Interestingly, no daughter goes to her mother’s place during this festival unless they get an invitation from her parents or brothers. In case they do not get an invitation from their parents, they feel extremely sad - they say it is the saddest
moment in their life.

The timing of the festival is practical in a rural society like ours as it falls immediately after the farm work is over. This festival takes place after the farmers finish weeding their paddy fields.

Hindu women across the country celebrate this festival with much fun, the food they eat in the form of "dar" varies from place to place. In hills of eastern Nepal they take porridge, sel roti and mutton in the form of dar whereas in western Nepal, they eat rice cooked in ghee which they call latte. In the city, pulau, sweets, mutton, fish make the main menu of dar.

These days it is becoming expensive to celebrate Teej as the people seem to be competing in inviting relatives and friends for the dar eating and spending more for other ritual practices.
